Semi-precious stone slabs
Most semi-precious slabs, such as amethyst, sodalite or amazonite, are made from pieces of the stone bonded with resin and polished on a backing; others, such as blue calcite, are solid slabs. The result is a surface of intense colour and unique reflections, and many can be backlit. They are luxury pieces for bars, tables, reception desks, vanities and feature walls.
Because they combine stone and resin, they are best used indoors, away from direct heat and heavy kitchen use. Learn more in exotic and semi-precious stone.
